I believe Classical Yoga to be a mental discipline with physical side-benefits. I teach asana as a tool, not the goal, to help students internalize the basic principles of Yoga as recorded by Patanjali.

To quote A.G. Mohan: "We work not to perform the asana, but to cultivate the qualities in the body that allow us to perform the asana."

Certainly, we work to cultivate flexibility, strength, and balance both physically and mentally, but more importantly, I believe, we work to establish an honesty with and a kindness towards ourselves - that spills over to everyone and everything around us.

Currently teaching Level 2-3.
